At the age of 18 Steve Boysen began crafting surfboards in an old garage in Ocean Beach, CA, under his label Pacific Drive Surfboards. He and a good friend opened Pacific Drive Surf Shop in Pacific Beach, CA. The space may have been small but the passion to create the best surfboards and sell the best surf gear on the market was overwhelming.
As Pacific Drive's popularity grew so did the need for a larger manufacturing facility and from there the SB Surfboards label became its own. Steve relocated SB Surfboards headquarters to North County San Diego, the epicenter of surfboard manufacturing where he has grown his brands internationally for 37 years. Steve has shaped surfboards for many of the world’s best professional surfers, including multi-world champions Tom Curren and Andy Irons. Year after year, SB Surfboards has sponsored a winning team of surfers.
SB Surfboards are part of the history of surfing that is well documented in magazine photos, videos, and published articles. Individual surfer stories and legends will reflect the significance that Steve Boysen has had in the surfing industry.

CASH MFG is a surfboard and fin manufacturing company inspired and created by Steve Boysen. Steve created CASH MFG to encompass manufacturing multi-dimensional or “fun” surfboards for the alternative surfer. The SB Surfboard lines have always been for experienced and professional surfers. The separate company CASH offered an opportunity for Steve to express more of his artistic and creative talents.
The CASH MFG logo is trademarked. CASH apparel has international public appeal for diverse reasons. The future growth of CASH MFG is unlimited.
King Restoration is a vintage car and motorcycle company created by Steve Boysen and his business partner Sean Mundy. Steve has always had a passion for building and restoring vintage cars and motorcycle's. Growing up watching his dad work on his Norton and watching his mother drag race seasonally, he grew up working on both. Steve decided that with a little help from his business partner he could do exactly what he has had a passion for since a very young child, bringing all of his favorite cars and motorcycles back to life.

Steve Boysen is an honest and authentic craftsman who designs, shapes, forms, and constructs items comprised of foam, wood, plastic, metal, and many other materials. He creates one of a kind custom guitars, restores vintage motorcycles and classic cars.
Steve is the mastermind and founder of SB, Boysen, and CASH Surfboards. His affair with the ocean surfaced at the age of 17 when he shaped his first surfboard.
Steve’s childhood introduced him to the world of muscle cars and motorcycles. Steve began owning and restoring muscle cars at age 16 following the footsteps of his mother, who was a seasoned drag racer. Motorcycle cultural influences and bike building became second nature to him growing up watching his pops work on and ride Norton's and Triumphs. Steve’s creativity stems from his roots in these diverse cultures and he – applies them to everything he builds and creates all crafted by foam, wood, or metal.
Boysen is legit! He runs his own program with a unique mix of influences and passions. He is a solid individual that would give you the shirt off his back and be the first to crack a few brews with you.
